なぜインプロを学ぶのか？ / Why Study Improv?
即興コメディ（インプロ）は、ただ面白いだけではありません。傾聴力、チームワーク、柔軟な発想力、ストーリーテリング、リスクを恐れないマインドセット——インプロで鍛えるスキルは、ステージの上でも仕事や日常生活でも活きるライフスキルです。
インプロのスキルが身につくと、自信がつき、前向きになり、自分らしくいられるようになります。これ以上の学びはないと、私たちは本気で思っています。Improv comedy isn't just funny - it's a life skill. Active listening, teamwork, creative thinking, storytelling, and the ability to embrace risk are all skills you build through improv, and they transfer directly to your work, relationships, and everyday life.
As your improv skills grow, so will you. Improv students become more confident, more open, and more comfortable in their own skin. We can think of no higher form of education.
なぜパイレーツのクラスなのか？ / Why Learn with the Pirates?
パイレーツ・オブ・東京湾は、2010年から東京で日本語と英語の即興コメディを公演してきたパフォーマンスグループです。講師はグループの創設者マイク・スタッファーをはじめ、10ヶ国以上の国際フェスティバル（ニューヨーク、マニラ、香港、北京、上海、クアラルンプール、シンガポール、テュービンゲンなど）で日本代表として公演してきたメンバーが担当します。
パイレーツのスタイルは「笑いを取りに行く」のではなく、「ストーリーを語る」こと。パートナーとの信頼関係を築き、相手の魅力を引き出し、「イエス・アンド」で物語を紡いでいく——このアプローチが、単なるジョークよりもずっと深い笑いと感動を生み出します。
入門から上級まで、あなたの興味やレベルに合わせたカリキュラムをご用意しています。演技、キャラクター、ステージクラフト、身体表現、歌——幅広いスキルをカバーします。
Pirates of Tokyo Bay has been performing English and Japanese improv comedy in Tokyo since 2010. Our instructors - including founder Mike Staffa - have represented Japan at international improv festivals in 10+ countries including the USA, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, and Australia.
We don't teach you to "find the funny" or give you a bag of one-liners. The Pirates style of improv is about connecting with your partners, making them look good, listening hard, and saying yes to what comes next. By focusing on the story, and the all-too-human characters in it, Pirates-style improv delivers humor that is naturally hilarious and deeper than a joke could ever be.
Our curriculum covers all levels from beginner to advanced, with skills including acting, character work, stagecraft, physicality, and singing.
レベル1：インプロの基礎
LEVEL 1: LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS
即興コメディの入門クラス。「イエス・アンド」の基本から、シーンの作り方、パートナーとの信頼関係の築き方まで、楽しみながら学べる全5回のコースです。経験は一切不要。必要なのは、楽しむ気持ちだけ！
料金：¥25,000 / 週1回・全5回（各2時間）
Your introduction to improv comedy. Over 5 weekly sessions, you'll learn the fundamentals: "Yes, And," building scenes from nothing, connecting with your scene partners, and finding the fun in every moment. No experience needed - just show up ready to play.
Price: ¥25,000 / Once per week for 5 weeks (2 hours per session)
レベル2：シーンの技術
LEVEL 2: THE WHO, WHAT & WHERE OF SCENES
レベル1で学んだ基礎の上に、シーンをより深く、より面白くするための技術を積み上げます。パターンの発見と展開、キャラクターの動機づけ、そしてインスピレーションの見つけ方を学びます。レベル1修了者が対象です。
料金：¥25,000 / 週1回・全5回（各2時間）
Building on Level 1, you'll learn what makes a scene tick: identifying and heightening patterns, finding character motivation, and discovering real inspiration on demand. Level 1 completion required.

レベル3：上級キャラクター＆卒業公演
LEVEL 3: ADVANCED CHARACTERS + STUDENT SHOW
最終レベル。高度なキャラクターワーク、感情表現、ステージクラフトを学び、レベル3修了者はクラスメイトと共に東京でライブ公演を行います。パイレーツのステージと同じレベルの即興を目指すクラスです。レベル2修了者が対象です。
料金：¥35,000（卒業公演含む）/ 週1回・全5回（各2時間）
Our most advanced level. Deep character work, emotional range, and stagecraft - culminating in a live student showcase in Tokyo with your classmates. By graduation, you'll have the confidence to create amazing scenes on stage. Level 2 completion required.
Price: ¥35,000 (includes graduation showcase) / Once per week for 5 weeks (2 hours per session)

CORPORATE TEAM TRAINING
法人向けにカスタマイズされたチームトレーニングもご提供しています。インプロの手法を活用した、コミュニケーション力・心理的安全性・チームワークの強化研修。Google、アメリカ大使館、グロービス経営大学院などで採用実績あり。
We also offer customized corporate team training using improv techniques. Build communication skills, psychological safety, and team cohesion. Trusted by Google, the US Embassy, and GLOBIS University.

クラスの修了だけではメンバーにはなれませんが、オーディション開催時にクラスで得たスキルと経験は大きなアドバンテージになります。
Completing classes doesn't automatically make you a member, but the skills and experience you gain will prepare you well for auditions when we hold them.

Payment is by bank transfer (furikomi). Full tuition must be paid within 1 week of registration. Corporate training is invoiced with 30-day payment terms.
