Pirates of Tokyo Bay is the city's premier improv group, performing monthly at the legendary "What the Dickens!" in Ebisu (just 1 stop from Shibuya). You shout the suggestions, in English or Japanese, and the cast builds the entire show from your ideas, on the spot. No Need to be Fluent! We perform scenes in both English and Japanese simultaneously. Whether you speak one language or both, you’ll follow the fun perfectly. It’s a unique cultural exchange enjoyed by locals and travelers alike!

It is similar to stand-up comedy in energy and laughs, but everything you see is made up on the spot based entirely on your suggestions!

What the Dickens!では、本格ブリティッシュパブ料理（フィッシュ＆チップス、ミートパイ、バーガーなど）とドラフトビール、サイダー、カクテルをご用意しています。19:00の開場と同時に到着して、席でディナーを注文し、食事を楽しみながらショーを観るのがおすすめ。コース料理のような高額なディナーショーとは違い、気軽に食事とコメディを同時に楽しめます。恵比寿は渋谷から1駅、代官山や中目黒も徒歩圏内。ショー後のはしごも簡単です。

    We strongly recommend booking in advance as seats fill up fast and walk-in availability is not guaranteed. Booking online takes 2 minutes and your ticket includes your first drink free.

    All three. Date nights love the unpredictable energy and relaxed pub setting. Office groups get a shared experience that sparks conversation for weeks. Tourists get something genuinely unique to Tokyo that they can't find anywhere else. The show is designed to work for any mix of people.

  • 開場は午後7時（19:00）、開演は午後7時30分（19:30）、終演は午後9時30分頃（21:30）です。約1時間45分のショーです。

    Doors open at 7:00pm, the show starts at 7:30pm and ends at approximately 9:30pm. The performance itself is around 1 hour 45 minutes.

  • ドレスコードはありません。普段着でお越しください。カジュアルなパブの雰囲気ですので、リラックスしてお楽しみいただけます。

    No dress code at all. Come as you are. It's a casual British pub, jeans and a t-shirt are perfectly fine.

  • 開場後はお好きな席にお座りいただき、1ドリンク無料サービスをご利用ください。開演前にバーでフード・ドリンクを追加注文することもできます。ショー中は観客の皆様からお題をいただきながら進行します——参加が楽しさの秘訣です！

    Arrive from 7:00pm, grab your free drink, and find a seat. You can order food and additional drinks from the bar before and during the show. During the performance the cast will take suggestions from the audience. The more you participate, the more fun it gets.

  • はい、観客参加型のショーです！お客様からいただいたお題をもとに、キャストがその場でシーンを作り上げます。お題は英語でも日本語でもOK。ただし、ステージに上がっていただく必要はありません。声を出してお題を出すだけで参加完了です。もちろん、見ているだけでも十分楽しめます。

    Yes, the show is fully audience-driven! The cast creates every scene from suggestions you shout out — in English or Japanese. You never have to go on stage. Just call out an idea when the cast asks, and you're part of the show. Of course, you can also just sit back and enjoy.
